DESCRIPTION:Call for Art – In this Together: Joy & Interdependence in Disability Culture \nJoin us for our Third Annual Disability Pride Art Exhibition at DNWML. \nThis year’s exhibition celebrates the beauty of interdependence\, the power of community\, and the full spectrum of joy within disability culture.  We are seeking artwork by disabled artists that reflects the richness of disabled lives – not as isolated stories of struggle or inspiration\, but as nuanced and deeply connected\, complex\, and joyful experiences. \nWe welcome submissions across all mediums: including visual art\, photography\, sculpture\, video\, performance\, sound art\, mixed media\, and more! \nSubmission deadline: June 8 \nExhibition dates July 1 to Aug 15\, 2025 during Disability Pride Month at the DNWML Washtenaw Office. \nCheck out the website (below) for more information and/or to submit a description of your art to consideration in the exhibition. \nCheck out the flyer:  CALL FOR ART Dis Pride 25

SUMMARY:The Queer Connection
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this group will be to provide a private and safe space for individuals who identify as being part of the LGBTQ+ community. This space is specifically for the LGBTQ community and therefore it will be closed. \nThis group will have various topics of discussion and identity intersecting with disability will be of the primary focus. \nIn the future there will be potential space carved out for guest speakers and individuals of the community to come in and talk about themselves\, their experiences and or the work they do in the community. \nThis group is so that individuals of marginalized communities can come together over common identity and talk about their experiences and learn from each other as well.
