Join the Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living for an end-of-summer picnic at the
Grand Opening of the Rotary Centennial Universal Access Playground!
Sunday, Sept. 17 3pm-6pm
Gallup Park, 3000 Fuller Road
Ann Arbor
Celebrating the first 100 years of the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor in September of 2016, the Club has established a Universal Access Playground in Gallup Park. With the help of the Ann Arbor CIL, the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor has ensured that the Universal Access Playground is open and accessible to all.
The Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living (CIL) helped provide input for the design of the playground so that it is a safe and inclusive place for the child in all of us. The playground offers children with disabilities opportunities to gain self-confidence and greater independence. Children of all ages and abilities will develop and play together. Additionally, caregivers with disabilities have the chance for their children to play, where they too can engage, supervise and interact together with them, as never before.
To learn more, visit www.a2gov.org/UAP.
There will be offsite parking and an accessible shuttle from 2-7pm that day to the event (check map for details).
We will be there rain or shine!
Please share the flyer and map below to anyone you think will be interested (click the links for a full schedule of events).
