Having a disability - you can’t do it alone. In 2014, I was injured in a mountain biking accident in Colorado. It changed my life in ways I never imagined. The CIL has been a big part of my journey to get my life back. They helped me get special equipment I needed, and they helped me in planning my career. More than anything, it gave me a place I know is always there for me. I’m studying to be a social worker because I want to help others going through difficult things in life. I want to make something of my career now even more than I did before my injury. We are incredibly lucky to have the CIL in our community. As much as you can look up things online these days, it doesn’t compare to having someone right there. Someone who knows what you’re going through and knows how to help. James Murtha.
