Nothing About Us Without Us Film Festival

The 3rd Annual Nothing About Us Without Us Film Festival is coming up on April 18-20, 2023! This three-day event will take place entirely on Zoom. We will watch a selection of films related to disability inclusion and independent living and then discuss what we watched together.

All films presented feature a disability theme and reflect the values of the Independent Living Movement. Festival will conclude Thursday afternoon with a conversation on disability advocacy. Sign up for as many events as you like. All events are free and open to the public.

- 10:00 to 11:15: U of M Adaptive Sports Reporting with filmmaker Zach Damon
- 12:15 to 2:15: Murderball with special guest Coach Pete Hughes
- 2:30 to 4:00: Mind/Game: The Unquiet Journey of Chamique Holdsclaw
- Wednesday, April 19th – Theme Day: Education
- 10:15 to 12:15: Intelligent Lives
- 1:15 to 3:45: Forget Me Not
- Thursday, April 20th – Theme Day: Arts and Advocacy
- 10:00 to 12:15: Code of the Freaks
- 1:15 to 2:15: Pain Raised Me with filmmaker Heather Banet
- 2:30 to 3:30: Current Events in Advocacy discussion
- 3:30 to 4:00: Wrap up and discussion from any of the movies
