Learn ASL! Musical Theatre
In this class focusing on learning ASL, music isn’t just for listening; it’s about telling a story through facial expression and creative phrasing through sign language. And in this 6-week virtual workshop, it’s an opportunity for people with disabilities to start or continue nurturing their sign language skills in harmony with new friends. Come to learn and prepare for a sign language performance of an all-group song (and optional solos/duets)!
All abilities and sign language proficiencies welcome. A certified interpreter from Disability Network Eastern Michigan (DNEM) will be partnering with DNWML Theatre Be Director Robin Bennett to present this workshop.
Participants are expected to register for ALL 6 weekly classes and an online performance on March 2 at 7pm. Participants must live in the DNEM or DNWML service areas. LIMITED SPACE!
